Description
The skirt was one of my first projects that I made when I got into clothes sewing, but the waistband was very fussy. I cut off the waistband, added a lining and made a new waistband with 2 inch elastic.
The top is an old favourite that was definitely showing signs of wear, plus my arms were a lot smaller when I bought it about 15 years ago, I added a large ruffle and think I’ve got a few more years yet for this old darlin’!
Material Notes
2 inch elastic for the waistband and cotton voile for the lining of the skirt.
The ruffle is made of cotton jersey.

Very sweet outfit. I hope you get the Bernina. I have always had Berninas and I love them.

Nope I didn’t! I have never had one, but the oldie I was bidding for looked smick. My Mum and I both have Pfaffs and I love the IDT on them.

I have so many clothes, it’s time to do a better job of my first (very flawed) projects!
