Upcylced men’s jeans made into jeans for 12-18 month toddler (unisex). Original jean pockets were added as side ‘wrap around’ pockets.
Same pattern used to make Girly Camo’s (if you have a beautiful, tangled cottage garden your tot would completely blend in!!). Gathered tutu style skirt added to the top in same fabric.
Both have gathered elastic waists.
The men’s jeans were a very soft denim which made them suitable for a small child’s needs. The trickiest part was unpicking the back pockets- those things are really secured on there!! I was lucky enough to have some thread that was the same kind of gold colour traditionally used in jeans. It was easy to sew along the unfaded denim marks of where the old stitching used to be.
