Brooklyn, New Yo...
I upcycled an old blue office/work dress into this halter top number for this week’s Sew Weekly challenge (to refashion an old garment).
The old dress was sort of cute, but had one big problem: it trapped sweat in the upper back/shoulders and under arms. I know, gross! But I love the color and the faux wrap with the big waist straps. So I majorly hacked her up, and made a low-backed halter.
I also recycled an old bra by sewing the cups into the front of the bodice for support. Extras: A new purple zipper and yellow floral bias tape.
Take a trip down the aisle in these gorgeous gowns, or change the fabrics for a spring party dress.
