In 2012, I’m planning on upcycling the unloved, forgotten garments in my closet and sewing drawers.
This sparkly top belonged to my grandma, one of the most elegant dressers I know. There are pants that go with the top, which I plan to convert into something new soon. The top was an easy one to alter; as you can see, it was basically a spandex box with sleeves and a turtleneck. It took less than an hour to refashion the shirt into a hip-hugging number with batwings.
