    noo..but you should! sewing is sooo difficult without it. when i started to you use them I’ve just seen that sewing is sooo easy.

  I think it’s lovely and elegant.. thye may have thought you looked overdressed cause you have the sophisticated refined look and put the whole package together perfectly. I love seeing people making an effort.

  I agree with Koala – it’s not that you were overdressed, it’s that the others were underdressed! Such events in our life are special and we’ll remember them always. So why should you remember yourself during such an event in a housedress or t-shirt and jeans??? No! And you look amazing in it!!!! The dress is so beautiful!
