Last Thursday I presented a project based webinar explaining step-by-step how to construct the Alison retro style bathing suit. I love the style of this suit, and it is so flattering on any body type. Who says you need a string bikini in the summer time, one pieces can be just as awesome. The gathers at the bust made it so I didn’t even have to insert bra cups!
I had a little leftover galaxy printed spandex that I purchased from Spandex House in NYC (best fabric store ever, three stories of spandex = amazing). I made my Galaxy Veronica and matching leggings in this vibrant print, and was so excited to make something else in it. I love how I made this classic 50s maillot in a futuristic print, the contrast is something that is very ‘my’ style. I would even wear this with a pair of denim cut offs and sandals for a stroll in the park on a hot day…and then I would be prepared to jump in any sprinkler that comes my way!
Take a trip down the aisle in these gorgeous gowns, or change the fabrics for a spring party dress.
