A (belated) birthday dress for my lovely friend Matilda.
She had just started a new job so I was looking for a classic style she might be able to wear to work and fell upon the Sonja Dress ElisaSalmePatterns.
No changes to the pattern were made, but I did make a separate lining pattern for a more finished look.
It’s a very easy pattern though I had trouble with the zipper and pleat directions. In the end I kind of “winged it” for the pleats. I’m not sure this is the intended look but I think it turned out alright.
Shell: Cotton/Lycra blend micro polka dots, easy to work with and forgiving.
Lining: Horrible 100% polyester from hell.
60cm invisible zipper
Interfacing on facing pieces.
