Description

The blogosphere has been blooming sew-alongs lately! After the Lady Grey, I decided to enroll to the Crepe sew-along that Gertie has developed for a few reasons. First, I learned SO much following the coat instructions. Second, Gertie has a gift for teaching! It is so relaxing to read or watch her. She is so passionate about sewing, and so sweet too! Third, I really liked the Crepe pattern. Last year, I have been falling in love with Colette Patterns.

I rally like the result! The shape of the dress is pretty flattering. It just shouts for pink high heel shoes! Or dark grey, I am not difficult! I love the pockets and the back wrap. So comfy! Here come the pictures! For the little story, we shot the photos when it was around 0 Celsius! You can see my arms getting freshly pink!

For the whole story, muslins, etc… you can read the post here.

Material Notes

Silk grey cotton, with tiny apples; pink wool for the belt.

The spring peaked a little last week, but the bad weather is sadly back!
But I don’t care, I wear the dress with a cardigan anyway :p

Love it, I think yet another colette pattern to go on my wish list. Read your blog and it’s good to know what are the pitfalls for this pattern.

Such cute fabric. You look amazing.

I love the fabric you chose (and your hairclip!). This dress would be perfect to wear for a spring wedding, so feminine and flattering. Great job!

I love love love this!!! You look so beautiful in these photos! I need that dress (it would also be nice if I would be able to make a similar one without the actual pattern…)

I know that the pattern is more expensive then other ones, but it is totally worth it…
