I came across a picture on the web for an “ugly doll” referring to a simple doll – and thought I would attempt one. My motivation was recycling! Although I try to remember to carry a re-usable bag for groceries, I sometimes forget! I am then left with some useless, flimsy plastic bags that cannot be reused without fear of splitting.
I thought that they would make a great stuffing for a child’s toy or a dog chew toy, as the scrunch, scrunch noise that the bags make would have some kind of appeal.
You will need:
Material offcuts (approx 1/4 metre) – anything will do! I used upholstery fabric, but lightweight cotton, satin etc would be equally suitable
Old buttons, ribbon, felt etc
