Description

This is my first handbag! I used a See and Sew pattern and extended the length of the bag’s pattern to fit my laptop for school. I am a student at the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and wanted to personalize the bag with our school colors: orange and blue. I added the orange ric rac trim to the blue contrast fabric to give the bag some UF flair. The bag fits my laptop perfectly and actually looks better when the laptop is in it!

Material Notes

thick fabric, contrast fabric, fabric for lining, fusible interfacing, orange ric rac, thread

I like this a lot! Did you put padding between the lining and the outside fabric? Have you found it to be sturdy enough to hold your laptop? I made a bad from an old pair of jeans, but it’s not padded and I’m thinking I should make something else so it’s more secure.. and this looks adorable :)
