Designed in spring of 2009 for a design competition in Washington, shown in a fashion show in December 2009. The bodice is a boat neckline with a V-neck back of acetate pre-creased fabric. The skirt is asymmetrical, a high slit gathered to the bustline. The fabric is a nylon stretch with vertical thread piles that make the texture velvety. I enjoyed draping the pattern and luckily kept the pieces so I can change the look and fit in the future. Plus, every girl needs a wedding dress on hand…just in case!
Nylon textured fabric. Nylon stretch piled fabric, nylon lining. White polyester/cotton thread. 22" zipper.
