This easy-to-assemble Project of the Week is brought to you by Britex Fabrics, a San Francisco landmark and a must-see for designers, sewers, DIYers and anyone seeking sewing inspiration. If you aren’t able to come visit the famous shop in San Francisco— guess what? You can now visit their newly launched online shop for all sorts of fabulous finds!
Have you been hanging on to a piece of gorgeous silk or cotton you just don’t know what to do with? Check out the instructions tab above to make your own 2-tiered skirt— it’s so easy and quick to make! If you’re short on fabric, leave out the top tier. Tip: For the top layer we used the reverse (matte) side of the shiny charmeuse, and the shiny side for the underskirt. Are you loving this chartreuse silk? Check it out here.
