Check out the instructions tab above to make your own 2-tiered skirt— it’s so easy and quick to make! If you’re short on fabric, leave out the top tier. I think it would be really nice for me! Because I am a bigger woman, I will use a dark color for the “apron” of this skirt and then pick up the color when I make the “under” layer…maybe a little disguise of the parts of me I need to keep secret!

If I’m doing my math right, this will have a waist measurement of twice the wearer’s (60 inches for a 30 inch waist for example). This is a huge amount of fabric around the waist, this pattern is really only practical for a very lightweight fabric.

Hi,
You can definitely play around with the width of the rectangles. In this example, we wanted to add more volume, hence the doubling of the waist measurement. Just make sure the final with the elastic is not too far off from your waist measurement.

I love the tiered skirts and floral prints are very on trend. I’d say this could be worn straight into fall with the right cardigans, tights and shoes.
