Description
I got this bright idea to use two different patterns to create a maxi dress. I used Simplicity (Cynthia Rowley) 2497 for the top, Simplicity (Project Runway) 1881 for the skirt. It wasn’t easy working with this fabric, tough to get everything aligned just right. If I had to do it over again I would choose a different fabric.

how did you finish the ruffles? This looks just like this dress pattern: http://voguepatterns.mccall.com/v1030-products-7884.php?page_id=861

I folded over the & stitched the ruffle edges, pretty simple. Your right the Vogue pattern is close. I have that same pattern, so pretty. On my list to sew ;-)
