Here are two maxi dresses I created by altering the Tara top pattern. The pink one is a braided halterneck with no back above the skirt. It is the second that I made and I unfortunately didn’t think to add length to the bust to compensate for the halterneck so it is quite ill-fitting in the bust area and uncomfortable to wear. I think it will be re-purposed soon :(
The blue one is a much better fit because the only alterations I made to the Tara pattern were to lengthen to a dress and leave out the sleeves. I love the print.
Both satin, the blue satin is backed with a kind of chiffon which makes it much more breathable than the pink.
