I found these floor mats at the dollar store and immediately I knew I had to try A Pair and A Spare’s diy rug mini skirt
It was a quick and easy project that resulted in awesome piece with lots of texture to add to my rotation.

How does it feel to wear? Meaning is it heavy and are you able to move around in it comfortably? If so, yes, very clever and insightful use of materials.

I was a little nervous about the thickness when my machine struggled to get a short straight stitch through 2 layers… but it is very very comfortable. these rugs are basically woven t-shirt yarn so there is tons of stretch :)
