Description

I made this waistcoat out of fine wool fabric. The pattern is selfdrawn. I have still difficulties to draw the collar, but I managed to do it. Again, I did a lot of hand sewing. The interfacing is wool canvas sewed by hand. The linning is put into by hand and the button holes are handmade, too. I used a counter button to reduce the presure on the fabric. I am happy with the result :-)

Sweet Job Martin. I’ll be getting into my tailoring shortly so would be fun to have a sewing circle as the lonely life of a tailor stitchin’ in the wee hours sometimes… Keep cutting!

Handmade buttonholes!?!?!?! They are beautifully done, as is all the handwork. You have a special talent for it. Handwork is my favorite part of a project.

thank you so much for your compliment. It makes me blush :-) Yes the buttonholes are handmade, but on the back site they are not so beautifully done, Maybe a problem of working with two different fabrics…. so still something to improve :-))
