Based on New Look 6702, this stretch woven (georgette) fabric has a soft drape for it. Adapted it for a dress pattern. I must admit, I took quite a while to construct the knot. Unpicked the knot twice because I had it twisted the wrong way :-P. I had cut the bodice top for a fuller bust as I didn’t like that tight T-shirt look on a dress. Lengthened the hem and shortened the sleeve to 3/4 length for a more airy look, finished hem in 2mm rolled hem (a very slow process). The instructions did not mention understitching the neckline, but I did it when I saw it threatened to shift and stretch out of proportion. Also used bias facing for the back instead of turning under as in T-shirt sewing. This one was made in the largest size (16) on the envelope (for big girl) so I added a tie for adjustability and fit just in case she gets smaller. May be used as maternity dress.
