Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I made this bathing suit out of a very expensive fabric that I bought a long time ago to make ice skating costumes… And I felt the difference with the economic fabrics that I usually buy, specially lycra/jersey !!! It was fantastic!
I used the Betty Boop’s Night Out top pattern, and one of my knickers for the bottom. I was sure the bottom would be too small but it turned out ok…

Thank you! I think you should try, because if you buy a very good quality, it’s much easier than what you think. And for a bikini, you don’t need too much fabric, so it’s ok…

Yah I enjoy Montpellier it´s a great city! Do you know a nice shop to buy sewing stuff and fabric? A sewing club would be fabulous ;o) Do you know other people who sew?

I am sorry I didn’t see your comment before today…
If you haven’t find out yet, in the city center you have Toto tissus, they are quite cheap and not so bad quality. Next to the train station.
Outside the city, I think there is Mondial Tissus, which is a very good shop, but I don’t have a car so I’ve never been there.
For ribbons etc, if you don’t find what you want in Toto, there is another shop not too far, I think it’s rue des Etuves. They have great choice, but they hate me I don’t know why, so I hate them back and I go only when necessary!!!
I don’t know anyone who sew apart from me… But if you want to meet someday, it would be fantastic! I can show you around or we can sew together ^^

Very nice Bikini! Especially for the nice and hot weather in Montpellier! I just moved to Montpellier and it is so hot here that I am definitely in the need of another bikini, and you just gave me the inspiration to try to sew me one ;o) I really like the twist detail on your top!

Thank you! Are you enjoying Montpellier? It’s true that it’s very very hot at the moment, a bit too much, but it’s such a great city! Maybe we should create a burdastyle sewing club ;)
