This skirt formula comes from the book “sew what! Skirts”. I have always wanted a skirt like this, as the concept is so simple and the day can be spent twirling in circles when wearing it. However, I could never stomach the gathering and hemming. Till now that is. Rather than gathering with two rows of basting stitches, when the sections became numerous, I ran a single line of basting stitch per section and gathered each one to a predetermined length. So much more palatable.
