I love swishy dresses and I’m somewhat obsessed with Colette’s Macaron pattern, so I made a swishy Macaron. I went for a skirt/shirt look, rather than the faux-strapless look, and this was my first time making and using piping since I wanted to keep the sweetheart neckline. The piping part turned out ok, I suppose, but I need more practice.
Also worth mentioning is that this is my second knit garment. I love that I don’t have to have a zipper on this Macaron, though I still need to work on getting the amount of ease right.
Anyway, I can’t wait to go swing dancing in this dress! It spins so well!
The bodice is made from a knit bedsheet I had, lol.
