From Twinkle’s “Town and Country Knits”- an amazingly warm cardi with a long slim fit.
I chose to forgo the Twinkle buttons, and used handmade Red Oak buttons from etsy instead.
6-7 skeins Twinkle Soft and Chunky in Rain for size XS, 6 buttons.

Oh my gosh. This sooo makes me want to learn to knit, even though I am hoping my friend will teach me over Thanksgiving break. But I need this. NOW! P.S. I adore those buttons! I’ve been looking at them for a coat I’m making…are they super thick like they look in the pictures?

These buttons are pretty thick. I think he makes one-offs so these are all different sizes. Which would bother some people I think but it adds to the character of the garment.

It looks very slim-fitting on, it covers my butt entirely. My only complaint is that the Tinkle yarn being virgin wool, pills a lot and the shoulders look a bit more wide with it on.
Overall it’s very cute. you should make it!

I’ve been meaning to knit this up — how does this look & feel on? Good drape?

Oh, and the other thing about Twinkle knits is that due to its nature of being chunky knits, it will make you look slightly thicker.
In her book, she counteracts this by strategic accessorizing like skinny belts over chunky sweaters) but even the skinniest girls will look a bit larger.
Not that it isn’t cute, mind you!
