Description

This is the first quilted throw I have made. It was largely determind by the fabric that I picked up super cheap during a country jaunt with Jaynee. Size 65’’ x 80’’, it has a lovely weight and it kept me lovely and warm as I hand finished the bias edging over a cold few days in December. Intended as a gift to a close male friend, I wanted to capture a balanced earthy composition with the random fabrics of muted colours. Due to its weight & size and my inexperience – I was unable to quilt it as closely and as intricately as I had planned, but I was pleased with the final product. Yay!

Material Notes

fine, soft, woven woollen cloth, purchased in a bundle from the end-of-line, sale table at the Cotswold Wollen Weavers Mill. Natural wool wadding.

Oooo, nice. So “Earthy Tony” got it after all? When you said it was “intended” for him, I thought maybe you ended up keeping it for yourself:) Well, I wouldn’t have blamed you if you did. The tweeds are awesome.
