I saw this oversized fairly masculine style tweed jumpsuit by Asos a few months ago and fell in love with it so helplessly. I already bought several different patterns to make one for myself but I recently came across a two piece tweed suit at the charity store for €10 and I decided to alter it into a one piece jumpsuit…and here it is. I had to insert a little triangle in the waist as the pants were just my size but I wanted to make them baggier as the Asos one. I cut about 10cms off of the coat from the bottom and stitched the pants and coat together afterwards. It came out brilliantly and I actually like mine better than the original one :)
It looks baggy on me but I failed to take pictures of me wearing it as I got terribly sick and sitting in my Pjs ever since :S
Te suit was a size 10 and myself is around size 8 so I took the sleeves in a lil and turned up the length of the trousers too. I chose to alter a pre-made suit because honestly the fabric to make a tweed jumpsuit would cost me more than buying a brand new suit second-hand with the label still on it…so sad but sewing ain’t cheap…
I’ll take some more images later x

love what you did here, such a great solution. You are so lucky to have found something that was so close to the original. And you did a great job with it!
