I saw a Dior dress in a fashion magazine (can’t find an online picture of it) which I like exept for its weird bow at the waist. I created the pattern for this dress based on what I could see in the magazine: front darts which start very close to the center, fitted bodice to the waist, fitted three quarter length sleeves, Marie-like skirt (but with the pleats arranged a bit differently). For ease in walking and sitting, I made it with a smooth back with slit. I like the end result, but I only wear it with colourfull thights, otherwise it’s too severe looking.
Oh, and sorry for the strange face I’m making. It’s hard to pose well for a camera on self-timer ;)
black-and-white herringbone tweed, lining, blind zipper.
well, the house of Dior, I guess
