My version of the Ute blouse with a white peter pan collar and white cuffs. I love this shirt, but my mother thinks I look like a nurse. Hence the name. But I think if I’m a nurse then I’m a pretty cute one, no?
I like this pattern a lot, it’s fairly easy to follow, though I don’t know if I got the bias strip thing correctly. But it looks okay, and I am always too thrilled when a project actually looks like a piece of clothing to nitpick. I put in snaps instead of buttons. I’m going to make this shirt again, but with the tie front variation.
Of course, I can’t wear this until the springtime. Oh, will winter never end? It feels like Narnia here in Philadelphia!
I blogged about this on my brand newsewing/crafting blog, http://strugglesewsastraightseam.wordpress.com/

I love your colour choices! You have inspired me to make something similar :)

I think both of your Ute’s are very cute. I thought making one in black and white might be nice but after reading your mother’s comment I fear that it might look like the naughty housemaid :-)

I like, despite its nurse-y-ness! And it looks great on you.
