This project was from the April 2010 magazine – skirt 111.
I love that this tulip skirt has a fitted waistband hidden underneath the waist tie…very cute, very effective.
I used a South African fabric called Shweshwe, which is cotton, to make this skirt.
I used a marigold yellow ric-rac for the pocket trims.
Flirty dresses, a cropped cami, and glam trousers for modern flappers.
