Description

Calling all retro ladies— you are in for a treat with this sweet and sassy halter dress pattern! It has all of the details which we love about the 50s: A sweetheart neckline, a fitted bodice and a full skirt (we recommend trying a petticoat underneath for added volume).

BurdaStyle user linamaus made a real shout out to the 50s in her version:

Material Notes

Lightweight dress fabrics (cotton voile works wonderfully) with some body.

      Hi,

I got the fabric at B&J Fabrics in the Garment District. For those of you who do not live in New York, they have an online store as well:

I agree, all patterns in the lower size-range should include size 34. However! If they don’t, if the smallest size is 36, it’s really easy to grade them down (multi-size-patterns that is), since the difference between each size is exactily the same. There’s a tutorial on grading up patterns here on Burdastyle, it works equally well to grade them down.
Now, go grade, and sew ;-)!
