I made the bodice from one Kwiksew pattern, adapted the skirt from another. The bottom band is wide enough to walk comfortably but i can’t get it over my hips so have to step into it. I had to take the mannequin apart to put it on! I’ve perfected my blind zips so i’m feeling pretty proud of myself :)
Shimmer fabric, invisible zip.

I have no idea what the fabric is, i’ve never seen it before. It wasn’t expensive, purchased it from Lincraft. Definitely synthetic and hangs really nicely. Sorry! As for zipper foot, just the standard one that comes with the machine. I did this zip a couple of times before i was happy :)

this is absolutely lovely! That colour is perfect for standing out at christmas parties (I’m seeing it with a little black cropped jacket, too). What kind of fabric is that?
