Burda Style For people who sew
Description
I started practicing my pintucks and then decided to make a tank top. If I were to do this again, I would plan the design a bit more. Also I would pintuck first, and then cut out the pattern for the top. One strap was much longer than the other and so I had to add more pattern to even it out. Now, it’s pretty comfortable to wear and I really like how the pattern is asymmetrical. The real secret is that my boyfriend doesn’t know I used one of his white tees (!)

This is a beautiful t-shirt and looks similar to a t-shirt I have been coveting from Anthropologie that is nearly £50 (out of my price range for a t-shirt!) If you don’t mind I am going to steal your idea and go and buy a £3 men’s t-shirt and and see if I can create my own.

Very nice. I love the asymmetry! I, too have stolen Dh’s tees, but have been a bit nicer lately and purchased my own men’s XXL cotton tees (for more yardage – DH wears a med.) I haven’t done pin-tucks for quite awhile, but I might just have to try this with tee knits!
