I rescued this cream colored silk beauty from a thrift store a few years ago. The fabric was quite lovely and covered in the most charming red polka dots, but it was too long and just didn’t have the right shape for me. Medea’s berry button skirt gave me the inspiration for this refashion project. I just removed the old waistband, cut nearly a foot & a half off the bottom to create a wider waistband and facing, and added a new side zipper. Voilà! A classy high-waisted skirt.
