Description

Drape Drape Volume 1- pattern number 1 combined with Marilyn Trousers.
A cheer experiment on cashmere/wool remnants from the RCA fashion department. It is such a pleasure to work with fabrics of such quality for free. The pleats look better when controlled with invisible hand-stitching in the inside. Easy pull on and off, side closure (see opening/pocket detail), belt with two buckles…
The Marilyn pattern is a really flattering one. So far I found it a good base to crack up with tailoring extravagance (on fabric remnants of course) and alternative closures. Two other instalments on the go
Adieu frontral zipped closures!

Very very classy – & such an individual look. I think I prefer the navy version, but making the three is interesting to show the difference colour makes to the effect/ shadows etc. Really clever (something to aspire to one day!)

i’m no fan of the marilyn trouser but i sure love yours! nothing’s better than some serious diagonal pleats. unusual length, i think i like it though.

I hadn’t seen this part of the tryptich yet. Incroyable, ton inspiration! The fit is perfect, they’re elegant and funky in one. I am always so terribly ‘careful’ with my creations. Is there a girl-be-brave-and-cut-it-crazy-drink?

You are so incredibly talented! The pants look gorgeous. I’d like to have them. I do have the drape drape book but wouldn’t have thought to combine with the Marilyn!

Oh thanks! i find it very tedious to take pictures on top of things what comes next is fairly difficult to photograph. waiting for the time of day when light is diffused, towards dusk (when the day has been sunny )is good. Have fun!

I am in love with this gorgeous piece of art! I love the pleated front and the effect the pleats create. You should be very proud for owning (and making) these pants since many of us would die to have them!

I’m in awe of the front draping, and then I saw how perfect the back is. They really do suite you. Oh, and by the way, your photographer did an excellent job.

Thank you Miss G, good to read from you! I am the photographer (tripod/self timer and twicking with the manual function on my digital camera). I find dark colours difficult to photograph and I am prone to use natural light as much as I can.

Pure genius, that’s who you are :) The tulip shape suits your body perfectly and the overall fit is excellent. The side closure hidden behind the pocket is such a smart construction. The pants can be dressed up or down, depending on occasion, so you’ve made yourself a garment that will be worn a lot! Bravo!

wearing them Absolutly!!! By the way you don’t need to wait for the English translations for Drape Drape nor Pattern Magic. It is fairly easy to grasp the construction of each pattern (very good sketches that speak for themselves) without knowing the lingo. Thanks for your kind words!X
