Description

If you have never viewed her workbook, leahfranqui makes the cutest blouses in the world.. i told her a long time ago that she inspired me to make a floral blouse of my own, but now i’ve taken the pictures to prove that i actually did it!
It’s a little more country cutie than i wanted it to be, but i’m not complaining.. It worked out nicely! I’ve found that for some reason New Look blouse patterns seem fit me properly, which is odd because I have a very difficult torso to fit. This one is a variation on New Look 6407, which I like because I’m large chested and it leaves a lot of open space at the neckline so as to elongate my upper body. The front facing was supposed to go inside of the bodice front, but because i wanted the contrasting pattern i just turned it out instead and top stitched it into place.

It’s cute! I’m more of a t-shirt kind of girl, but it’s nice to have at least one blouse in my closet!

Material Notes

This was a very soft craft cotton, which i normally don’t like to use because it’s stiff and ends up just looking too craft-corner for my taste.
