I have a thing for making bags, but wanted to find a more challenging yet easy pattern to follow.
I came across this Travellers Bag and it was perfect. It was really easy to make, I did have a few tantrums over fixing in the zips but that’s to be expected with me (zips are really not my thing!).
I had tested out dip dying on some thin calico with a red dye. It turned out pink (which I love!). I had it lying round for ages not being used so I decided to use it as the lining and I had just enough!
The outer fabric was a heavy cotton, and I fell in love with the pattern straight away so had to have it!
The whole bag is reinforced with thick interfacing to help keep it’s shape.
