This is the second top I made using Burda 7/2009 pattern. I used the same adjusted pattern as for “Burda Wrap Top” from the previous post. It looks good with or without the belt and very versatile. I wear it with pants, jeans and dresses.

Hello – very beautiful jacket. I love the hem and the way it drapes. Did you use an overlock or coverstitch machine, or just a traditional straight stitching machine? I am working up to becoming more expert at using knits, and want to be able to do it with my old Bernina rather than buying an overlock machine. Thanks.

Hello, Just like you I have a traditional sewing machine and not planning to buy an overlock in the nearest future. First, I put narrow strips of interfacing along the most of the edges. Then, I use a straight stitch plus a zigzag on the raw edges. Hope it helps!
