Description

I made Totoro hat and t-shirt sets for a talent show costume.
This is the mid size blue Totoro. (I don’t have photos for the grey or white Totoro)
The large grey Totoro has whiskers and four more marks on his stomach under the three that the blue Totoro, using a grey t-shirt.
The small white Totoro has no nose (just the eyes), with white t-shirt, no marking.

The markings on the t-shirts are done with reverse applique method taken from Alabama Chanin.
Facial parts are made from felt.

Great interpretation of Totoro as a costume-would be ideal for summer/fall use without having to fight with foam or fake fur components. Like that blue shade used as well!

      Thank you.
It’s very inexpensive to make too. $2.50 for the base t-shirt, and I used an white t-shirt that we had at home for the stomach material.
