I’ve been looking at all the projects on this page for some months, and they are really inspiring. I had to quit sewing for a couple of years, but now I’m back, it’s great to see people who love sewing just like me.
The story on this top is that there aren’t many places to buy fabric in Montevideo, and all of them have the same stuff, we have a small market here… So to add something different to a top, I decided to mix plain fabric with kids fabric, so I can be sure that I won’t be seeing anyone with the same clothes that I have!
It’s really easy to do, just take a top pattern, draw a line on the side, copy each part and add the seam allowance.
(sorry about my English) : D

I love your top and what a great idea to add a side panel of fun fabric. How frustrating for you not to have good fabric shops, especially when you are so inspired to sew again. I am also so inspired by this web site and love looking at what everyone is making each day. It certainly keeps me motivated.
