The top was constructed based on pattern 114 from Burda Style Magazine issue 4/2011.
Like the previous top, it was a challenge from a client. She showed me these genuine vintage maps and asked me if I could think of any tops to make.
Of course, I was restricted by the very small size of the maps, so I had to pick the most “economical” patterns.
I liked the red/burgundy marking son the maps, so I decided to use some burgundy velvet detail and bow and burgundy satin bias binding to finish off the neckline and sleeve openings.
Quite different and an extremely interesting project!
