Description

I wanted to try a new technic for this top. I put a bit of yellow jersey fabric underneath the front and I stitched around like a flower. Afterword’s I cut the wholes for the flower, so the edges are raw. I also made a ruffles and sewn it like a spiral for decoration :) On the back I’ve made a whole as in the pattern #115 Burda 06/2009 and also made a decoration with a ruffle around. I made this top once before; http://www.burdastyle.com/projects/twin-set-dress-jacket
For the trousers I have used pattern #102 Burda 07/2011. It’s a very cozy and comfortable trouser to wear for holiday or at home ;)

Material Notes

Rib jersey for the top and denim jersey for the trousers.

This is such a fun top. I think the pants w/top are very hip. Is there stretch in the pant fabric? It just looks so cozy!:-)

Your outfit is awesome!!!! They fit you great!!!! I may have to ‘borrow’ your idea, as I have a lot of small scraps of plain jersey, and it would be great for my granddaughter and great niece. I was looking at that pants pattern last night, and trying to decide; you’ve helped with my decision!!!

Hi Ellen, very cute top and the color combination is nice. It is very original with the yellow flower. It’s very early for such summer tops ;-)), however it gives a good mood.

Morning from a freezing cold ireland ellen. Your outfits so lovely on you. I adore this top. I made the dress version like you as well. The yellow flower and other details are so clever. I love what you do. You elevate a simple top to something so special and they’re always so well done. I love the trousers as well. I’ve been making patterned ones for the summer, when it gets here that is. I’m going to make a whole selection of solid colour tops to throw on with them. I have bought the same fabric as your trousers for a halterneck jumpsuit as well lol x

I enjoy trying out different technics and it makes me happy when it turn out well :) The jersey I have used for the trousers is very nice, and I’m looking forward to see your halterneck jumpsuit! Also the summer tops that you are planning – I love wearing colorful outfit in wintertime as well – when it’s grey outside and it cheers me up :-)
