Description

I used Burda 7733 Jeans Pattern. These were a trial pair for my Brother. The pattern said to go by the seat measurement but silly me still went by the waist measurement. Of course they fit the waist but not around the backside. What a shame – my topstitching on this project is superlative! I did learn how to put in a zip fly and this is the first ever jeans pattern I have attempted. I have tried flogging them off to other skinnier buttocked people but they find them too big in the waist.

Material Notes

Navy synthetic material – resistant to water and creases- perfect for travelling. Dries in no time. $2.00 from Vinnies – I have enough left for another project.

Thanks, I might tell my brother the pants are perfect but his body isn’t. I’m still hopeful they’ll fit somebody.

that’s a shame they don’t fit but you did a really nice job so I’m sure jean making round 2 will be easy!

Thank you. You’re right the sewing will be easy next time. I’ll just have to learn how to adjust the pattern for a perfect fit.

Thanks, I took extra care with every aspect of making this project. I wanted them to be perfect for my brother. I still enjoyed making them despite the crushing disappointment of the fit.
