This smocked toddler sundress with elasticized thread is from the Heather Ross pattern and video tutorial. It goes together quickly and uses just 3/4 yards of fabric. I had fabric to spare, so put in a growth tuck right above the hem. When the dress gets too short, remove the basting stitch to add length. You can see what this looks like on the wrong side of the garment in the hem detail picture.
Printed cotton quilting fabric from my stash, originally a gift from Mom. Bias tape from Freecycle.
