This project was so fast and easy. Just used the paper bag shorts I made as a jumping off point and whipped up this skirt. The fabric was previously a ladies skirt so i just cut the front/back pieces using the original hem. I really can’t believe how much easier shirring is now, and I loved how it worked with this skirt. I felt that material was too heavy to do a bubble skirt or anything too frilly. I thought this style was just perfect. I’ll probably pair this with a standard brown leather belt for added layers/interest.
thrifted women’s skirt.
