This cute little number was made around the same time as my houndstooth hoodie creation.
An A-line skirt is attatched to a form fitting bodice with sweetheart neckline. As I tend to have a curvier bottom half, the black velvet accents help to draw the eye up making it a fairly flattering line. :) Gotta love a-line! The skirt is a comfortable just above knee length.
The fabric is actually a cotton fleece so this dress is more of a autumn/winter dress. In winter I wear it with black opaque tights and even a woolen turtleneck or longsleeve black shirt! Easy to dress up or down as well.
Also super easy to care for.
Just love it!
Drafted the pattern myself and the bodice is shaped with underbust darts.
Blue/black cotton fleece. Black stretch velvet.

Oh, this is great, I love it! The neckline makes the dress elegant, and at the same time the fabric gives it this rough and cool/funky edge. A versatile dress for many different occasions. Very inspiring!
