Description

Simplicity 2872 fairies pattern – the green Tinkerbell pattern with a few changes:

  • replaced tulle lining with more satin,
  • added second skirt layer,
  • went without belt (apparently inauthentic???).
My dd is very pleased with the result. I’m relieved this one is over – too much effort for a dress-up!

Material Notes

Party satin in 2 shades of green, sparkly tulle

Just made this and agree with all of your thoughts.. so incredibly hard and way too many pieces!!! I ended up just going with a satin underskirt and a tulle overlay as you said and it worked out great. I tried it on my niece and she also rejected the belt!!! ;)

thank you Carly – I don’t think I’ll be making this again though – way too much ironing is required to get those petals looking decent!
