this is the first item of clothing i’ve made where i have made the pattern myself. This dress was going to have a halter neck top with a straight piece across the chest and a piece of elastic down the front to create a gather between the breast. When I made it it made me look very flat chested and wasn’t the right style for my shape, so I went back to the drawing board and came up with this. The breast pieces are not quite right but for a first attempt I’m pleased with it. The fabric again was see through so I cut up an old bed and used it as lining. The skirt is a half circle skirt, there are no fastenings it ties around the neck and around the chest.
