Description

Tiger print stretch denim shorts, #122 from Burdastyle 02/2011. Daughter No1 bought this fabric from the sewing show in Birmingham in March, keen for it to be turned into shorts. It’s taken a while, but now she has them! There wasn’t quite enough fabric for me to cut all the pieces, so she chose some contrast stretch cotton from my stash for the pocket bags & inside waistband. The pattern was shortened to make it suitable for petites, and taken in a bit at the waist.

Pretty simple to run up, I love the welt pocket, although we did leave off the one on the back – not enough fabric!

Nice shorts for nice lags: feel jealous about the both:-) They look very nice, animal prints look well when they are not too bright and multi-coloured and are used for not too big items of clothes.

I know, right? I stopped wearting shorts a long time ago! I agreed to buy the print because it wasn’t too “cheap”. Simple colours always work better! :)
