Used a quilt weight cotton to make the maxi dress. I modified the back of the top to be more comfortable for me. I am not done yet. I need to add the zipper. Trying to decide if I should reun the serger over the rough edges 1st. I pinned the zipper on one side so undoing that would suck, but I redid the top a couple of times anyway so what is a few more minutes?! ;)
Almost there. Pretty excited, but mostly to start #2 which I am hoping will be easier. A basic dress – but I don’t love either pattern completely so I plan to mix them together….
Did do my first darts on this, and they were much easier to do than all the stress and build up would have led me to think.
