a new top!
i started this top only knowing that i wanted to incorporate a cute little tie at the waist (inspired by Lily_Bart’s fab Bow wrap top!).
the fabric is not super lovely to the touch & i didn’t really want it close to my skin, so that made it into a layered, more vest-like piece.
i also needed to get rid of all this fabric so i wouldn’t be tempted to use it again. (the terrible hand and poor quality are so depressing… ugh. it was cute and cheap, okay?) this resulted in lots of bias tape, and i do love stripey bias tape!
the sleeves were taken from a top i just took apart- they were just sitting there, begging to be traced :)
so there’s my twisted, totally anti-methodical design process.
