My fav bolero! Originally it was a sweater [yes, a sweater but too small and short for me] and my grandma made from it a long sleeved bolero. But still it wasn’t suitable. When I saw navy ribbon I got the idea, and started to sew. I shortened the sleeves, added white elastic band along the edge [low part?I don’t know hot to say it…] cut the neckline to triangle shape, and ruffled it a bit along the edge, and finally sewed the ribbon. Lot of work with this to be suitable… but now I wear it often!:D And I sewed 2 ribbons and the end to tie it:D Voila!
And in the last photo you can see the bolero after I added the elastic band, ruffled it a bit and cut the neckline

Very sweet. The contrast ribbon was definitely a great idea. Adds a little elegance.
