After the most insanely busy semester of my life (I hate you, biochem), I have finally gotten some sewing done!
Like many others, I’ve been eyeing off the Mociun tie-front dress! I pieced together information from verypurpleperson , Anna Allen & FarahAJH to make my prototype.
It was really easy to make, and probably my most successful project I’ve made without a commercial pattern yet (yay!). Because this dress was just a trial run, I didn’t line it and was a bit lazy with ‘proper’ dressmaking techniques. I’m hoping to get a nicer, more wearable version made soon!
There’s a bit more info on my blog, including some pictures I took showing how I altered the pattern – I Wish I Were Nancy Drew.
Super-cheap, see-through, starchy and nasty fabric from Spotlight, which they claim is cotton. I have very serious doubts whether this is true.
